Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December 1991. The parents of Matthew Matt James include Manny James and Patty James. He is the son of an Nigerian father and a Caucasian mother. James graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, he earned a Bachelor of Economics degree at Wake Forest University. James gained fame when he became a reality television participant on The Bachelorette. James was selected in the year 2020 as the bachelor of the year on The Bachelor season 25, making him the first African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James was the ideal fit to play the role. He is beautiful and tall with a an innate attitude. Rachael Krukconnell became James's love interest towards the end of season. James teamed up with well-known dancing star Arnold in 2021 and competed in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold took 12th place.
