Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. She spent most of her youth listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs, as well classic classical music. Ana is a lover of tangos and opera, and all dramatic performances. When she was 16 years old, she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive training in singing. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. Following her move in the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002, she made her way to southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The love she has for singing, music as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana is a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially in the younger generations in keeping the music alive.
